Board & Structure

Our board has been constructed to provide us with good governance and fair representation. There are five positions specific to each of the five key areas we have identified as being important, and the board member will then enlist the help of key, executive volunteers on sub committees, to deliver what is required in all aspects of their area of responsibility. Each of these board members will serve a three year term.

In addition, the board also includes two non-executive directors, who will be Past Presidents of the Union, Past Captains of the Association, or Past Presidents of Lancashire Golf.

The structure has been designed so each person only has one direct report, which aligns with England Golf’s recommendations for governance.

Each member of the board has a specification for their own role, and terms of reference are also in place for each of the sub committees, overseeing specific areas. These will be reviewed and updated as required.
