John Cockerill, President Lancashire Golf 2026

Our AGM on 3rd March saw John Pendleton hand over the Presidential badge to our President for 2026, John Cockerill. John has been an integral part of our course rating team for a number of years, was a regular player in our mens team at his peak, and is an incredibly enthusiastic supporter of all Lancashire Golf do to grow the game, including being a firm supporter of Junior Golf. His home club is Fairhaven, and he is also a member at Royal Lytham & St Annes, so he is looking forward to both courses being involved in Lancashire activities this year. He has been a huge supporter of our events in his role as Vice President through 2025 and we look forward to him representing the county as President all through 2026.

John Pendleton has had a very positive year as President of the county, seeing Lancashire pick up the county of the year award, along with seeing the teams triumph at the Mens Northern Counties qualifier, attending the national county finals, the women's team come within a point of winning county match week, the girls winning the northern counties jamboree, and the senior men's team win the norther counties league back to back. Let's hope we can continue this success into 2026!

Sue Moult comes in as our Vice President for 2026, and will be President in 2027. Sue is a member at Shaw Hill GC and has contributed greatly to the county over many years, in particular as a regional representative, running numerous competitions and events. She will be attending all our junior events in her capacity as Vice President through 2026, along wh other functions, and she looks forward to seeing as many members of clubs across the county as possible through the year.
