Course Record 62 seals it for Nash!

James Nash from Ormskirk Golf Club has won the 2023 Lancashire Amateur Championship at Bolton Old Links Golf Club. Luke Kelly from Ashton Under Lyne Golf Club had set the pace over the first three rounds and had one hand on the trophy. However, James had other plans and produced some stunning golf in his 4th round and with 3 eagles and 4 birdies set a new Bolton Old Links Course record of 62. President John Moorcroft presented James with the trophy in front of a sizeable crowd who had gathered on a gloriously sunny day.

Luke Kelly won the Batty Trophy for the Best Gross score over the first 36 holes. Isaac Gregson from Rossendale Golf Club won the Wright Trophy for the best Nett Score over the first 36 holes.

Bolton Old Links Golf Club won the Club Champions Trophy with their three best players scoring 432 over the first 36 holes, just pipping last year's winners Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club by one shot.

Bolton Old Links Golf Club proved to be fantastic hosts and presented a superb and challenging golf course.

We look forward to see James defend the Trophy at St Anne's Old Links Golf Club in June 2024
