Applications for the 2017 Boys and Girls Programmes are now closed

The Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs and the Lancashire Ladies County Golf Association operate a regional under 14’s programme for players aged 13 or under at midnight on 31st December 2016, and a County Academy Programme (CAP) for players aged 14 to 18 years old. This provides a complete pathway for boys and girls to develop their talent to the highest potential level.

Both CAP and the under 14’s coaching will be delivered in 6 regions across the county and will be performance based programmes, selection for places will be completed during 2016 and applications can now be made using the online form below.

CAP consists of 21 hours of coaching by PGA professionals, delivered in small groups and encompassing all the elements of becoming an elite player.

The under 14’s programme takes place over 3 half day group sessions with a PGA professional, focussing on fundamental skills, and an end of season event for all players

Both programmes are designed to complement a player’s work with their own club professional or individual coach.

There is a charge of £25 for the under 14’s programme and £75 for CAP, some bursaries are available for appropriate applicants. Bursary enquiries can be made to
