The 57th Annual Dinner of the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs was held on Friday 19th October at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel Blackburn.

Hosted by the Lancashire President Les Wilson with principal guests Paul Baxter, President of England Golf and Jim McArthur, Chairman of the Championship Committee of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.

Other distinguished guests included Presidents and Secretaries from adjacent Counties, Presidents of Associations within our County, Captains and Past Captains from affiliated clubs and many other members of the County and their guests.

Paul Baxter proposed the toast to the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs which was responded to by Les Wilson.

Jim McArthur gave a highly amusing address and proposed the toast to our guests.

The Annual Dinner in 2013 will be on Friday 18^th October at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel you will be most welcome to attend.

The Captain of Childwall Peter Quinn was presented with a Centenary Plate.

Bill Bromilow was congratulated on his unprecedented success in his 5 years as Captain and was presented with the Northern Counties League Trophy.The team came so close to becoming the English County Champions.

Mike Gray and Stuart Fawcett were congratulated on the Lancashire Seniors performance in winning the Northern Counties League and the "Big Six" narrowly failing to win the English County Seniors title.
