Hat-trick for Holt as he retains Lancashire Senior crown

TONY Holt won the Lancashire Senior Championship for the third successive
year at Grange Park.    
The Clitheroe scratch man returned a pair of level par rounds of 72 to
finish two shots ahead of Ian Crowther, from Royal Lytham & St Annes.
Holt atoned for four bogeys on the first day with an eagle three at the
487-yard 13th and two birdies. And a brace of birdies cancelled two dropped
shots in the final round.
Crowther, who posted 72 and 74, kept up the pressure but a bogey at the 13th
in round two virtually ended his chase in an event he finished runner-up in
last year.
