Walmersley Ladies make Daily Mail Foursomes Final

Final of the Daily Mail Foursomes at St. Pierre Golf Club, Chepstow.

Sue Appleby and Alison Gedge, who are members of Walmersley Golf Club in Bury, have reached the final of the Daily Mail Ladies Foursomes which is being played next week at the famous St. Pierre Golf Club in Chepstow. This national competition required players from 1226 clubs competing in their own club qualifying rounds before going to a knockout stage.

Sue (55) and Alison (54) successfully played through 7 knockout stages to reach next week’s final.

Sue, handicap 18 and Alison 19, who both live locally, began playing at Walmersley Golf Club 6 years ago and are looking forward to representing the club in the final 16 pairs.
