A great day at Wolstanton GC. A tough test with some strong par 3’s and some interesting pin positions.
Congratulations to Staffordshire Seniors who won on the day.
Well done to their Captain Mark who it has been a pleasure to work with in both sorting the match and also helping in many date changes to help Lancashire. So sorry if it spoilt your trip away.
To Wolstanton Captain and President who welcomed us and all the staff on and off the course who could not do enough for us.
Thanks to Stephen Matthews who helped enormously trying to sort the team and the President Norman ,Chris Preston and Clive Appleby who all turned out at late notice so we had a full side, much appreciated lads.
All the games were very tight a lot coming down to the last couple of holes but a great win for Staffordshire and can I wish Mark the captain and all his team all the best for the rest of the season.
Thanks to the Lancashire lads always a pleasure to be with we were not just quite good enough on the day.
