THE EAST LANCASHIRE JUNIOR GOLF CHALLENGE TOUR
JUNIOR GOLFERS
The East Lancashire Golf Association have announced the dates for their 2016 Junior Challenge Tour.
Beginning on Sunday May 22nd at Darwen Golf Club, the tour this season will include 14 events across the region and culminates with the ELGA Junior Open back at Darwen on August 31st.
Now in its fifth year, the Challenge Tour gives youngsters the chance to experience playing on a range of different courses and sets out to help boost the number of entrants in Junior Opens around the area. - Promoting Junior Golf.
Following the opening round at Darwen, the tour will call at Rossendale (May 29th), Nelson (June 1st) and Wilpshire (June 3rd) in the opening weeks before stopping off at clubs including Pleasington, Clitheroe, Burnley and Accrington during the summer.
The tour is open to all juniors with a club handicap and under the age of 18 on the 1st Jan 2016. ( Max Handicap 36 - Girls & Boys)

RULES
Players must be under 18 years of age on the
1st Jan 2016 and hold a certified handicap.
MAX TOUR HANDICAP—36 for Challenge Tour – GIRLS & BOYS
GIRLS get additional allowance for the variation in the SSS table.
Handicap limits may vary for the Host Club competition.
No Caddies allowed for players under 37 H/Cap.
MERIT POINTS - (Check the Web Site for details)
Compete for the first 20 Positional Points in each event
Coupled with additional “Bonus Entry" ( Dependant on No of entries) Plus " Free Venue" points
Note - Bonus Entry points are Double at the 9 Hole Clubs. ***
